µ-CANSAS
Intelligent Measurement Amplifiers with CAN Bus output

The imc µ-CANSAS modules form a complete series of high-end measurements amplifiers with CAN Bus interface.
These miniature, extremely ruggedized modules find their way into vehicle and industrial applications. Available in 1 or 4 channel versions.

'Small and Smart'

imc describes them as small and smart these measurement and control models with CAN Bus interface. Maximum measurement capabilities and minimal dimensions; µ-CANSAS was originally designed for 'under the hood measurements' and fits completely the imc concept of decentralized measurement of physical quantities.
The various modules have 24-bit A/D converters to transform the analog sensor signals. The conditioned and digitized signal from an analog sensor can be sent as a CAN- or CANopen signal.
The modules are configurable by means of optional configuration software. Once configured the modules are self-starting and can make any sensor into an intelligent sensor.
 

Extreme Conditions

Basically µ-CANSAS modules are suitable for an extreme temprature range of -40° C to +120° C. The modules have a IP65 protection level.
Shock resistance 50 g pk over 5 ms*1.
The modules power supply voltage is not very critical; it accepts voltages between 9 - 50 VDC. The modules are also power friendly. Depending on the model, power consumption is around 1 - 6 Watt.
