The imc Cronos-PL series consists of modular intelligent instruments with network interface for measuring physical quantities. Almost any sensor measuring temperature, pressure, displacement, force, strain, etc, can directly be connected.
By using different housings the number of channels can range from 4 to 512, with a total (aggregate) sampling rate of 400kS/s. For more channels systems can be connected synchronously. These devices can operate with or without a PC, have a self-start function and can be used in decentralized measurement networks. The logged data can safely be stored in the device's internal memory (Flash-Disk or HDU). In case of power failure a small build-in UPS will safeguard the data.
Due to the modular system architecture the systems can be configured to fit practically any combination of desired input signals. Additional interfaces can enhance these devices with field busses. Measurement data from busses like CAN, Arinc, or J1587 can be collected synchronously with data from the analog data channels.
For Real-Time applications, like mathematical calculations, limit monitoring, closed- and open-loop control in µs range, PL-Series models can be enhanced with the 'Online FAMOS' option. 'Online FAMOS' uses powerful build-in signal processors (DSP's) for fast execution of mathematical functions, with or without PC. With 'Online FAMOS' it is easy to define your own real-time functions. This makes every PL-Series device your 'Personal Analyzer'.
Every system comes with the easy to use, yet powerful, 'imc-Devices' system software. This software is used for configuring the test and for visualization of the test data.
The Cronos-PL systems can easily be part of bigger test systems or be integrated in test benches. The imc COM s/w interface, together with various drivers give you all the necessary freedom for integration.
