Universal systems for test development and service

The imc C-Series comprises of intelligent fan-less compact instruments with network interface for the measurement of physical quantities. These devices can operate with or without PC. They are light, robust and therefore very well suited for measurements on mechanical and/or electrical machines, vehicles or other industrial applications.

Various models exist. In all models however a combination of analog and digital filters makes it virtually impossible to make aliasing errors. The universal amplifiers in this series (CS-7008 or CS-7016) offer a high level of flexibility, high accuracy and low noise.

 The C-Series devices are standard equipped with:

  • 8 digital inputs
  • 8 digital outputs
  • 4 analog outputs
  • 4 incr. encoder inputs for RPM, displacement ...
  • build-in sensor supply
  • CAN Bus interface with 2 nodes

Depending on the model, input channels can be sampled up to 100kS/s with a bandwidth of 22.4kHz.

Real-Time Capabilities

For Real-Time applications, like mathematical calculations, limit monitoring, closed- and open-loop control in µs range, C-Series models are enhanced with the 'Online FAMOS' option. 'Online FAMOS' uses powerful build-in signal processors (DSP's) for fast execution of mathemathical functions, with or without PC. With 'Online FAMOS' it is easy to define your own real-time functions. This makes every C-Series device your 'Personal Analyzer'.

Versatile

Especially when measurement tasks change every day and a variety of sensor types must be connected, the Universal Amplifiers in the CS-7008 en CS-7016 models offer lots of benefits. With sample rates up to 100KS/s and direct connection of voltage, current, strain, PT-100, thermocouples and vibration sensors, these systems are really versatile.
The multi functional CS-1016 and CL-1032 are great solutions for measuring voltages and current with sample rates up to 20kS/s per channel. All devices in this C-series have differential inputs and have both analog and digital anti-aliasing filtering per channel.

In the Lab and in the Field

The use of the C-Series devices is certainly not limited to the laboratory. These rugged instruments perform well in mobile applications as well as in industrial settings. The CS-1408 and CL-4124, offering isolated inputs, could be used in situations where voltage potentials are of a more complex nature.

Noise and Vibration Analysis

The C-Series devices are very well suited for vibration analysis or sound measurements. The special model CS-8008 offers a wide analog bandwidth, high sampling rate and the possibility to directly connect ICP®-transducers or microphones. Besides time-domain registration, the CS-8008 can also present 1/3-octave spectra.
With the optional imc-WAVE software this device turns into a 'sound and vibration workstation'. Optional s/w packages enable the build-in Order Tracking or Sound Power functions.

Power Quality Measurement

For complete Power Quality measurement the CS-2108 is the right tool. That holds for single, two or three phase grid analysis.

Strain Gages and Structural Analysis

With five different models to choose from one can find the right instrument for every possible task.
For DC bridges imc offers the economical models CS-5008, CL-5016 and CX-5032.
The CS-6004 and CL-6012 models with AC bridge supply offer even higher accuracy for dynamic measurements.
